One-liner

A gravedigger in monumental Staglieno, 1890. One night. Sixteen houses. A pact Europe’s families signed — and a Creditor who needs a living hand.

Pitch (short)

Erasmo Bozzo digs graves — and lives inside the cemetery, as caretaker. He pockets a shining book for what it might be worth. He takes it home. The book does not stay closed for long.

The great families did not bury Death out of kindness. They signed. They bought time, money, cures, power — and each keeps a fragment of the slab that seals the last tomb. They are dead and do not rest. Their children sleep. They do not. Take the piece away, and they can finally sleep.

At Staglieno: sixteen burials, sixteen fragments. Chapel, crypt, mausoleum — apology, accounts, contempt. Ghosts do not narrate: they teach. The Creditor cannot take the fragments alone; he needs a living hand. Erasmo is the man who opened the door — and is used for it.

Full prologue beat (who opens the book, how the household is taken): under NDA / verbal brief only — not for public posts.
